Annual Fire Safety Certification

To ensure building compliance each state and territory has it prescribed format and a requirements under there respective Act and Legislation.

This is enforced locally by the relevant authority having jurisdiction which in most instances is the local council, or fire brigade. Notice or intent to inspect the premises is generally required 48 hours prior to inspection or if in the event of an incident this may be immediately.

The local authority completing the inspection will require evidence of testing and maintenance to the building fire systems including the Annual fire safety certificate as detailed below.
